Q: What is a 'Deepscan'?
A: A 'Deepscan' will check each ECU category in our database to see if there are any matches to the connected vehicle.
How to perform a DeepScan:
Step 1: Go to the vehicle ECU connection screen.
Step 2: Scroll to the bottom of the screen. Then click the 'Click here if you can't find an ECU' text and the 'Find ECU's' button.
Step 3: After identifying the vehicle. MECH5 may ask you if you have selected the correct year and make/model. (HELP TIP: Please ensure this is correct. If your model is not listed or you are unsure, please click 'NOT SPECIFIED')
Next, MECH5 will ask you to perform a 'Deep Scan'. Please click 'RUN DEEPSCAN'
Any new ECU's found will be displayed and will appear in the ECU connection page.
Step 4: If new ECU's are found, please perform a health check with snapshots. (This feature is only available for MECH5 users with a subscription)
If no new ECU's are found, then please fill in the support form on the bottom of this page or click the 'Notify Nebula Systems' button within MECH5.
